Nu öppnar vi återigen för att ansöka om GEIGER-residens i Elementstudion. Denna gång är perioden 3-7 maj.
Har du ett projekt som behöver en studio? Saknar du pengar för studiotid? Behöver du utrustning för att påbörja eller avsluta ett projekt? GEIGER erbjuder nu igen, i samarbete med Elementstudion i Göteborg, fem dagars residens i Elementstudion!
Vi vänder oss till dig vars huvudsakliga fokus är ljudkonst, elektro-akustisk musik eller nutida konstmusik. Eftersom vi ännu inte har möjlighet att bidra med reseersättning eller boende i Göteborg underlättar det om du bor i Göteborg eller på pendlingsavstånd. Eller ordnar ditt boende själv.
Det du behöver göra är att skicka en kort beskrivning av vad du vill göra under ditt residens, några korta rader om dig själv och din konstnärliga verksamhet. Bifoga också en länk med ljud eller filmexempel på vad du gjort (Skicka inga ljudfiler eller filmfiler!). Ett CV med utställningar, tidigare verk, utbildning etc är meriterande men inget krav.
Maila din ansökan och eventuellt CV i PDF-format till: geiger@geigermusik.se. Du får en bekräftelse på inskickad ansökan inom 24 timmar. Vem som fått residenset meddelas per mail senast den 30 april.

Residensperioden är 3-7 maj.
Ditt residens på Elementstudion kommer primärt att äga rum i vårt mindre kontrollrum och tillhörande inspelningsutrymmen. Kontrollrummet är cirka 20 m2 stort och har ett genelecsystem i 5.1 (om så önskas) och ett inspelningssystem från RME. Det finns sexton bandlinor från inspelningsrummet, som är 75 m2 stort och åtta från ett mindre anslutande bås, och alla kopplingar kan du styra som du vill i en patchbay.
Extrautrustning (Outboard, mikrofoner, syntar och annat) kan ordnas efter dina specifika behov, och utrustning kan flyttas mellan olika rum om det behövs (med vissa undantag). Det finns ingen stationär dator tillgänglig, så du måste arbeta från din egen bärbara dator, gränssnitt via USB.
Tekniker från Element kommer finnas till hands vissa avtalade tider, redo att hjälpa dig om behov uppstår. Om du har några specifika frågor angående anläggningen eller studion, vänligen kontakta GEIGER. Det finns tillgång till wifi, kylskåp samt ett pentry med mikrovågsugn.
Övernattning på studion är INTE möjlig alls under perioden.
Urvalsjuryn består av två medlemmar från GEIGERs styrelse och två medlemmar från Elementstudion.

GEIGER Residence Spring 2021: 3-7 May. Apply by April 25!
We are now once again opening to apply for a GEIGER residency in Elementstudion. This time the period is 3-7 May.
Do you have a project that needs a studio? Do you lack money for studio time? Do you need equipment to start or finish a project? GEIGER once again offer, in collaboration with Elementstudion in Gothenburg, a five-day residency in Elementstudion!
The residence is especially for artists focusing on sound art, electro-acoustic music or contemporary music. Preferably you live in or close to Gothenburg, since we cannot offer means for transport or free housing.
What you need to do is send a short description of what you want to do during your residency, a few short lines about yourself and your artistic activity. Also attach a link with audio or movie examples of what you did (Do not send audio files or movie files!). A CV with exhibitions, previous works, education, etc. is a merit but not a requirement.
Email your application and your CV in PDF format to: geiger@geigermusik.se. You will receive a confirmation of the submitted application within 24 hours. Who has received the residence will be notified by email no later than 30 April.

Your residence at Elementstudion will primarily take place in our smaller control room with recording facilities. The control room is 20 sqm and has a 5.1 Genelec system (if desired) and a recording system from RME. 16 lines from the recording room (75 sqm) and 8 lines from a song booth. All connections are controlled trough a patchbay.
Extra equipment (outboard, microphones, synths and more) kan be available for your needs, and equipment can be moved between rooms (with some exceptions).
You need to have your own laptop, since there is no computer available. Interface through USB.
Technicians from Element will be on hand at certain agreed times, ready to help you if the need arises.
If you have any questions about the equipment or the studio, please contact GEIGER.
You will have access to wifi, fridge, a pentry with microwave. Overnight stay in the studio will NOT be possible during the residence.
The selection jury consists of two members from the board of GEIGER and two members from Elementstudion.
